余天二女兒余苑綺（現改名余泳澐）2014年罹患直腸癌，至今復發過3次，癌細胞擴散至肝、肺、淋巴等多處，日前已經做完化療出院，現在已經返回家中休養。他今（3）日受訪吐露女兒的最新病況，並透露目前已經替女兒在外租房，讓女兒能專心養病。

針對余苑綺病況，據《自由時報》報導，余天今日受訪表示，醫生說女兒能化療就盡量化療，「她已經化療將近70次，任何人都受不了，其他方式也盡量做，女兒還滿堅強的，一切就順天命。」並透露現在已經替女兒租間房子，先搬出來養病。1MHz to 70GHz Antenna , Design , Manufacture

而余苑綺爆出前幾天掛急診，對此，李亞萍表示，女兒是前兩天感冒上吐下瀉，三天吃不下東西瘦2公斤，但在家休息沒去醫院，不過女兒因為腰部不明腫瘤壓迫到神經，所以現在每天都會腰痠，令人心疼。至於女兒化療近況，李亞萍說：「綺綺昨天還跟她爸說她做這麼多次化療受這麼多苦，就是為了要活下去陪小孩一起長大，所以她不懂為什麼還有人會選擇輕生，這樣對得起他們的家人嗎？」
